Research Project

Lena’s  project is titled “Newly discovered volcanic centres of Northern Zealandia: part of an intraplate volcanism pulse?”. During this project she will use a combination of geology and geophysics to classify newly discovered submarine volcanoes from the Fairway Ridge.

Short Bibliography

Lena is currently completing her Honours year. Her interests in geosciences are vast and varied! She loves marine geosciences and has participated in two research voyages; She is also hoping to complete many more in the near future! She also has a deep passion (verging on obsession!!!) for all areas of palaeontology and Antarctic geology and hope to be able to combine these interests for PhD research!

Research voyage onboard the RV Investigator
