README for "Sea-level fluctuations driven by changes in global ocean basin volume following supercontinent break-up" by Wright, N.M., Seton, M., Williams, S.E., Whittaker, J.M., and Müller, R.D., 2020, Earth-Science Reviews doi: 10.1016/j.earscirev.2020.103293 Corresponding Author: N.M. Wright, nicky.wright@sydney.edu.au Last updated 21/10/21 This directory contains supplementary material associated with Wright et al. (2020). 1. Grids This folder contains netcdf files for paleobathymetry. All files are based on the plate tectonic reconstruction of Müller et al. (2019) (v1). Folders are as follows: * Paleobathymetry_GDH1: final paleobathymetry grids, based on the age-depth relationship from GDH1, sediment thickness reconstruction using the method from Dutkiewicz et al. (2017), and LIP heights using the method from Cesile (2016) * Paleobathymetry_RHCW18: final paleobathymetry grids, based on the age-depth relationship from Richards et al. (2018), sediment thickness reconstruction using the method from Dutkiewicz et al. (2017), and LIP heights using the method from Cesile (2016) * LIP_height: grids of large igneous province (LIP) heights through time, using the method from Cesile (2016) * Sediment_thickness: grids of sediment thickness through time, based on the method outlined in Dutkiewicz et al. (2017) and with the sediment thickness relationship calculated using GlobSed (Straume et al., 2019) and for a global extent. Note that these grids do not include any isostatic correction. 2. Wright_etal_2020_ESR_supporting_table.xlsx This Microsoft Excel file contains supporting tables, including the final sea-level curves. 3. Grids-Muller_etal_2019_v2.0 This folder contains netcdf files for paleobathymetry using the latest version of Muller et al. 2019 (v2.0). It includes: * Paleobathymetry_GDH1-Muller++_2019_v2.0: final paleobathymetry grids using the plate model from Muller et al. 2019 v2.0. These use the age-depth relationship from GDH1, sediment thickness reconstruction using the method from Dutkiewicz et al. (2017), and LIP heights using the method from Cesile (2016) * Paleobathymetry_RHCW18-Muller++_2019_v2.0: final paleobathymetry grids using the plate model from Muller et al. 2019 v2.0. These use the age-depth relationship from Richards et al. (2018), sediment thickness reconstruction using the method from Dutkiewicz et al. (2017), and LIP heights using the method from Cesile (2016)
