Yuwei Zhang is a PhD candidate in the EarthByte Group at the School of Geosciences, University of Sydney. She holds a master’s degree from Nanjing University, China, where she specialised in tectonic geomorphology and low-temperature thermochronology. Before commencing her PhD, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where she gained laboratory experience in magnetic susceptibility and major element geochemistry. Her doctoral research investigates time-dependent dynamic topography and its links to subduction zone geometry and mantle flow processes.
